Spaces are limited so please get in touch at events@harpsnorthwest.org.uk to sign up.

We organise tutor-led workshops for the absolute beginner with harps provided.

We typically run two workshops a year, though we can put on more if demand is there. If you would like to attend please contact us at events@harpsnorthwest.org.uk

You do not need to be a member to attend, nor do you need to be able to read music!

The aim is to give students an introduction to playing the harp. By the end of the workshop, students can expect to have learned some understanding of basic technique and an ability to play simple chords and some simple harp tunes.

Beginner Workshops are arranged for a group of students.  A fee is charged.  The fee includes harp provided.

Harps North West  promotes these workshops for absolute beginners at a range of venues in Cumbria and Lancashire. Over the last few years, workshops were held at Over Kellet, Penrith, Samlesbury, Shap and Threlkeld. We have also held workshops at Sedbergh, Burton-in-Kendal, Whitehaven and Keswick.

"My fiancee attended the workshop last week and came back describing it as an 'idyllic way to spend an afternoon.' She was incredibly enthused about future harp lessons and joined Harps North West."
