Become a member of Harps North West

You can belong to Harps North West whatever your age or playing ability, and even if you don’t play the harp at all.

Our membership categories are:  Adult, Youth and Family.

Membership gives you these benefits:

  • Members’ newsletter providing information and support to members, plus a regular email update making sure members are always in the know!

  • Priority booking for our tutor-led Player Workshops. (Places not filled by members are available to non-members.)

  • Access to regular informal playing sessions at a community venue, arranged and supported by Harps North West. Currently, we have several playing groups meeting regularly, including a group in the South Lakes, one in the West Lakes, and another in North Cumbria.

  • Informal and formal opportunities to play together. For example, sometimes Harps North West is asked by organisations to provide players at a public  informal event or formal function. These invitations are circulated to  members to take part.

  • Opportunity to play in/support a public concert organised by Harps North West.

  • Invitation to attend social events organised by Harps North West for members, their families and friends.

  • Opportunity to hire a harp from us for a short fixed period (subject to availability) until you can buy one of your own.

Membership Subscriptions

The membership year runs from 1st July to 30th June the following year. 

If you join HNW between 1st July and 31st December, or you are renewing your existing HNW membership:

Adult membership: £20.00

Youth membership: £10.00

Family membership: £25.00

Introductory Discounts for New Members

If you join HNW between 1st January and 30th April: you just pay for the half year to 30th June:

Adult membership: £10.00

Youth membership: £5.00

Family membership: £12.50

Your membership should be renewed thereafter for a full year each 1st July. We will send out friendly reminders. 

If you join HNW between 1st May and 30th June: you pay one full year’s subscription for the coming membership year beginning 1st July, and get May and June of the present year free.

If you pay your membership by bank transfer  - please still send the form to us, otherwise we will not have your contact details to send you our Newsletters and Updates!  In compliance with the new GDPR guidance we specifically need your permission to continue to communicate with you in these ways.

Standing Order

You can also pay by Standing Order - you can either  PRINT AND POST HERE and pop it in the post with the application form. Or DOWNLOAD HERE AND EMAIL the form back to us. Don't forget to let us know if your contact details change!
